Born out of the need to express the overflowing creativity and to satiate thirst for innovation, students from K.J Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai are super kicked about their annual technical fest Abhiyantriki 2014 on 9^th October, 2014. As they put it, this is the time of the year when being a geek is the coolest thing!

Auto Expo

What is it> - Exhibition of cars developed by the students of various colleges across Mumbai. Teams will:

• Put up the cars they’ve created
• Exhibit technicalities & engineering involved in building them

• Winner will also get mentorship by people on panel

Code Swap

Want to have fun with the history of modern day computers? Introducing Code Swap: age old quizzing but with a twist of tech. The event will be carried out in 3 levels:

Isle of Tortuga

A water game, Isle of Tortuga is a combination of fastest finger first and robotics.

How to play?

You will be required to answer a select number of questions within a stipulated time. The target will be to reach the goalpost first fighting against an opponent.

Float It

Will be completed in 2 stages:

• 1^st stage - Quiz based on simple questions on basic engineering
• 2^nd stage -  You will be provided with 50 ice cream sticks with which you will need to produce a stable body, which will carry weight and float on water. The body that carries more weight will win.

Bot Assembly

Will be completed in 3 stages:

• 1^st stage - Participants will need to answer a set of technical questions to go ahead.
• 2^nd stage – Participants will need to build a basic robot car. Skills to be tested here – efficiency, speed & accuracy of connections
• 3^rd stage – The bot created must be moved through a simple track. The team to complete the 2^nd & 3^rd round fastest, wins.

Short Circuit
