The annually conducted summer festival of Siddganga Institute of Technology known as “HALCYON” held on April 3,4 and 5, 2014. It was an inter college fest with different competition and exciting events.

 

Events were held on back to back for three days. Some of the eye catching events were face painting, just a minute (JAM), mock press, dumb charades, spell bee, collage and many more. Winners of the respective games were awarded with attractive cash prices. 

 

Cultural events such as choreography, solo dance, mime act, street plays, battle of the bands, vocals solo gathered the crowd too. Winners of choreography were PANTHERS, where 1st runners up were BREAK INN 2.0 while the drama group “AURORA” bagged both the prices in street play and miming.

 Apart from the cultural and the competitions ,the decoration around the college truly depicted the theme of the “ELECTRO MAFIA” the decoration of the road leading to the administrative block was quintessence  of   art fusion with the modern theme. The third and the last day witness the presence of the famous Kannada actor Mr. Ravi Kumar in the facilitating ceremony. The event was followed by musical night by DJ Stallion and DJ Arjun Nair together came as DJ ANSWER.

 

Their performance was appreciated by everyone. The whole event was sponsored by Indian Oil and BCS.

 

The coordinator for the event was Mukesh Gattu with a firm team of over two hundred volunteers with him.

 

Finally the event was a successful one enjoyed by all and cherished by everyone.
