Students who aspire to be a part of airport operations or airport ground services should pursue a programme in aviation and hospitality management coupled with some business management skills. A lot of private institutes and most of the airlines conduct courses in aviation, travel and hospitality management of minimum one year duration. Besides, governmental institutions and Indian universities also offer undergraduate degree programmes in hospitality and tourism. To reach a good level, aspirants must do a master’s course in travel and tourism or business management.
An applicant to the field of airport operations must be confident and smart looking with good communication and leadership skills. He/she should be mentally prepared to work for long hours and in shifts.
