ICET 2012: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) is an entrance exam conducted by Andhra Pradesh University, Vishakhapatnam on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). The ICET exam is conducted for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) courses in universities and colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Exam Pattern for ICET 2012

ICET 2012 is an objective type multiple choice question test. It is a two and a half hours test consisting 200 questions of one mark each.

ICET 2012 test is divided into three parts:

  • Analytical Ability

      (i) Data Sufficiency : 20 Questions
      (ii) Problem Solving : 55 Questions

  • Mathematical Ability

      (i) Arithmetical Ability : 35 Questions
      (ii) Algebraical and Geometrical Ability: 30 Questions
      (iii) Statistical Ability : 10 Questions

  • Communication Ability

      (i) Vocabulary : 10 Questions
      (ii) Business and Computer Terminology: 10 Questions
      (iii) Functional Grammar : 15 Questions
      (iv) Reading Comprehension : 15 Questions

The ICET 2012 test is designed to measure your ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess your aptitude for admission into MBA and MCA programmes.
