It’s Oscar season and the spotlight is on the Oscar winners. The Case Centre (formerly ecch) has announced the winners of The Case Awards, its own “annual business education Oscars” to celebrate worldwide excellence in case writing and teaching.
An
ICFAI Business School (IBS) Hyderabad case study titled
“Digital Marketing at Nike: From Communication to Dialogue” won the prestigious
Case Award in the
“Knowledge, Information and Communication Systems Management” category. The case study, authored by
Prof. Debapratim Purkayastha and
Mr. Adapa Srinivasa Rao, is about how global sportswear giant Nike leveraged Information and Communication Technology to win in a hyper competitive market.
The Case Centre Awards, now in their 24th year, are presented by the UK-based The Case Centre, the largest repository of case studies in Management. This year’s winners in other categories include Harvard Business School, IMD, INSEAD, London Business School, Ivey Business School, Darden School of Business etc.
Earlier in February, 2014, Prof. Purkayastha and Mr. Rao’s case study titled “Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Google, Inc.” was declared the winner of the 4th AESE Case Writing Competition, organized by AESE Business School, Portugal.
The Case Research Center: IBS Hyderabad has adopted a predominantly case based pedagogy. The Case Research Center at IBS Hyderabad has developed more than 4,500 case studies, and is known for regularly winning awards and prizes at global case writing events.
