The Governor of Tripura Sri Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya marked his maiden visit to ICFAI University Tripura on Tuesday August 26, 2014. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Biplab Halder, Registrar Dr. Snehalata Behura, senior faculty members, staff and students felicitated him at the campus.
Later, higher officials and senior faculty members cradled to have an intense interaction with the Governor, where he enquired about the available infrastructural facilities, course curriculum, intake in different courses, faculty and student strength. He laid special emphasis on effective measures for admission of students from backward classes in the state of Tripura.
The Governor emphasized on the importance for collective efforts to achieve the target of inclusive India and said “It will be possible only if education is spread out, electrification covers all villages and if the human resources are empowered.”
Further, the Governor hoped that the ICFAI University Tripura will continue to deliver quality education to the students who are taking different UG/PG programs at the campus and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
