After a break of one year Indira Gandhi National Open University's (IGNOU) educational radio channel Gyan Vani and television channel Gyan Darshan are all set to come back on-air again.

According to TOI report, the announcement on comeback of channel was made by the IGNOU vice-chancellor professor Nageshwar Rao in Lucknow on November 3. He was speaking during the inauguration of country's largest regional centre building.

The official website of IGNOU will also be revived, which provides study materials of different universities.

IGNOU had also stopped uploading study materials on the website some time back and the varsity will start re-uploading its study material soon.

Besides these, IGNOU is chalking out a plan to make changes in its syllabus to introduce Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and skill based courses. The university will also introduce courses in footwear technology and tourism from the upcoming academic session.
