Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Pusa, New Delhi hosted recruitment for Trainee Cabin Crew for Air India Limited from December 26, 2014 to December 30, 2014 for the Northern Region.

 

The recruitment to Air India Cabin Crew is a 3-tier process. The first round was scrutinizing the documents of the candidates by the Air India officials. The second round was GDPAT- Group Dynamics and Personality Assessment Test, which was conducted by IHM, Pusa.

 

Under the leadership of Mr. Alok Shivapuri,the Principal,IHM,Pusa, a team of 6 faculty members hosted 18 groups each of 15 candidates, per day for GDPAT. The GDPAT consisted of three levels namely: Grooming/Deportment Test, Social/Behavioural Test and Group Dynamics Test. The modus operandi followed by the faculty was absolutely transparent and fair, with each candidate being provided a numbered tag so as to hide his/her identity. The candidate was not asked to disclose the identity or family details at any of the stages of GDPAT.

 

The GDPAT activities were designed to test the candidates on various grounds like grooming, reading skills, extempore ability, leadership qualities, awareness, dexterity, competence, teamwork proficiency.

 

 

 

 

The shortlisted candidates from GDPAT went for a written test and medical examination conducted by Air India. The candidates clearing all three levels were recruited as Trainee Cabin Crew members. While on training, the trainees receive a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000/-. Post completion of the training, the employees will receive a salary of Rs.31, 500/- per month and other perks. The selected candidates are engaged for a fixed period of 5 years which is extendable subject to candidate’s performance and company requirements.
