The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) organised a workshop on ‘Smarter and Digital Delhi’ on Sat, Feb 13, 2020 at Okhla, Phase III, New Delhi, to discuss challenges and opportunities for transforming Delhi into digitally smart city. Prof. Pankaj Jalote, Director of IIIT-Delhi chaired the programme in the august presence of Shri. Manish Sisodia, Deputy CM of Delhi, who also inaugurated the event. Prof. Valerie Issarny from INRIA- France, and Mr. Ashish Khetan - Vice Chairman of DDC were the keynote speakers at the event. There were several other presentations by persons from both academia and industry.

The prime purpose of the one-day workshop was to explore solutions of problems such as traffic management, public transport, parking, pollution, waste management, health, safety, public grievances, sports facilities, solar energy, administration and governance, housing, corruption, employment, trade / commerce, education,infrastructure and others.
