IIM Raipur was established in the year 2010 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is one of the newly built Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), which is located in the capital city of Chhattisgarh. The institute offers Management, Fellowship and Executive programmes. It offers one management course that includes Post Graduate Programme in Management.

IIM Raipur admission policy has been officially announced, where CAT 2020 will carry 32% weightage, while WAT/PI will carry 30% weightage and finally 38% distributed among various other aspects like work experience, diversity, academic records, etc. 

IIM Raipur-Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP)

The Post Graduate Programme in Management is the flagship course of IIM Raipur. It focuses on the overall development of students, prepares them to be successful business management professionals and makes them capable of facing all the challenges in the global environment. It helps the students to understand technological, socio-economic political and ecological environment globally.

IIM Raipur Eligibility Criteria 2020

The IIM Raipur Eligibility Criteria 2020 are as follows-

1. Candidates should have completed graduation with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university or institute.
2. Final year students appearing for their examination or waiting for results can also apply.
3. Candidates with managerial work experience will be considered.

IIM Raipur Selection Process 2020

IIM Raipur has not released an official notification for its selection process 2020; hence, the following is a tentative structure of IIM Raipur selection process 2020.

The admission to IIM Raipur will be a two-stage process consisting of the following categories-

1. CAT scores (shortlisting)
2. Shortlisting through Personal Appearance (PA) including Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT)

Selection of a candidate will be based on a merit list prepared on the basis of the following categories and their tentative weightage.

Common Aptitude Test (CAT) Percentiles/Scores

Given below is a table that depicts the official category-wise minimum percentile for different categories or sections.

The shortlisted candidates under different categories will be called for Personal Appearance process.

Personal Appearance (PA) Process

Candidates who are shortlisted through the CAT percentiles under different categories will be called for Personal Appearance process, which includes Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT).

Profile

Finally, profile of the candidate will be computed under three categories-

1. Academic Profile- 20 marks
2. Work Experience- 6 marks
3. Diversity- 12 marks

Academic Profile

Academic Profile will depend on the marks attained in 10th Standard (7 marks), 12th standard (6 marks) and graduation (7 marks).

Work Experience

The duration of a candidate’s work experience will decide the marks. The tentative weights for the work experience will be as follows-

Diversity

IIM Raipur promotes diversity in its programmes. Therefore, all the females and candidates from a non-Engineering background applying for the same will be allotted six marks each.

The final selection will be based on merit prepared, considering the CAT percentiles, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test and Profile of the candidate for admission into IIM Raipur’s Post Graduate Programme in Management.
