The admission process for Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics, which is jointly offered  by ISI, IIM and IIT, has begun. PGDBA is a full time diploma taught at three centres i.e. ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta.  The focus of this full-time diploma course in Business Analytics is to bridge that gap between Multinational Corporations and reputed companies.

About the programme:

This programme was started in the year 2015, with the first batch graduating in April 2020, jointly offered by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Students will have the opportunity to study at all three institutes in three different semesters, starting with ISI Kolkata for the first semester, IIT Kharagpur for the second semester and IIM Calcutta for the third semester.

The fourth semester will comprise of a six-month long internship with a business organisation. The PG diploma is a two-year long, full-time, strictly residential programme. During the three semesters, students learn statistics, computing and management from the three institutes.

Each institute focuses on a separate area of business analytics, in line with its expertise and competence. ISI specialises in imparting knowledge of statistics and theories of machine learning, and build on the foundation of analytics, while IIT Kharagpur engages with the technology aspects of analytics and IIM Calcutta focuses on the practical application of analytics in areas of function.

Students are exposed to hands-on business analytics training at companies and continuous interactions with industry leaders take place through the entire duration of the programme.Students who graduate and become professionals in business analytics are employable by leading Indian and International firms.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates applying must hold a graduate or a postgraduate degree with at least 60% marks. For SC/ ST and differently-abled candidates, the minimum marks are 55%.

2. Students in their final year, appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but they must submit the necessary documents on time.

Interested students can apply online at http://www.iitkgp.ac.in/pgdba. All copies of documents should be self attested before uploading.  The application fees for the general category is Rs. 2000/- and for students belonging to the SC/ST/DA category, the application fees is Rs. 1000/-

Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking can be used to make payments online. Or, payments can also be made by cash at any of the SBI bank branches.
