The most prestigious the IMC Gold Award 2014 goes to
Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (PG) Pune this year. SIMC bagged the envied Gold Award for the best case study under the category ‘Increasing Applicant Pool’ at the 5th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) Awards, 2014.
The heart core initiative of MBAUniverse.com, held in New Delhi, the event showcased the case study, titled ‘Campus Connect’ presented by the Director of the institute, Mr. Chandan Chatterjee, showcased the work undertaken by SIMC to create and maintain a healthy communication network for the aspirants of the programme. The award was presented by Shri Sunil Kant Munjal, Jt. MD, Hero Moto Corp and by Dr Subramanian Swamy, Former Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Senior BJP Leader.
Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication won the gold, facing competition from India’s reputed
B-schools, such as MICA, TAPMI and SIBM (Bangalore).
SIMC’s case study titled as ‘Campus Connect - An Initiative Aimed at Increasing the Number of Quality Applications for SIMC’s
MBA (CM) programme that confessed how the institute used approaches such as a digital campaign for promotional activity and direct aspirants interaction with the current students.
These efforts winded up into a whopping increase of over 112% in registrations over 2013-14 and a better social media presence for SIMC. The unique approaches undertaken by SIMC, in expanding the applicant pool was well received by the Jury and SIMC was honored with the IMC Gold Award 2014.
The mega event witnessed the participation from over 100 B-Schools and Universities across the country.
