Home > Articles > Infosys Foundation Commits INR 24 crore to IIIT-Delhi to Establish Infosys Center for Artificial Intelligence
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, has announced that it has provided Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Delhi a 3 year corpus grant of INR 24 crore. Mr. Pravin Rao, COO and a trustee of the Infosys Foundation, inaugurated “Infosys Center for Artificial Intelligence” at its campus in Okhla.
The center will be initially headed by Dr. Srikanth Saripalli, an expert in Robotics and UAVs, who is spending his Sabbatical at IIIT-Delhi. The center will facilitate work on both fundamental and applied aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI)and will work in many areas like Robotics, Machine learning, Computer Vision, AI for Software Systems, large-scale Data Analytics, etc. Several faculty members of IIIT-Delhi will be associated with the center, and research will be carried out with the assistance of PhD scholars, post-docs, other students and visiting researchers.
