KVPY 2014 is an initiative of Dept. of Science and Technology of the Govt. of India, to motivate the students of Class 11th and 12th to pursue research in Basic Science. Under this project selected candidates will receive Rs. 5000/- per month as fellowship for UG and PG in Science.
As Director Sh Brajesh Maheshwari, KVPY said an aptitude test was conducted on November 2, 2014 in 9 major cities including Jaipur in which class 11th and 12th science stream students participated and their enthuse level was commendable. In the final round, the team of scientists will interview selected students.
The students selected in the 1st phase of KVPY in Science, Maths and Biology are given 25% scholarship in ALLEN and those who clear the Interview are rewarded a scholarship of 75%
Test Pattern:

Students were divided into 3 groups:

SA (43% marks for general students and 32% marks for reserved category students are compulsory for 11th class)

SB (50% marks for general students and 34% marks for reserved category students are compulsory for 12th class)

SX (UG 1st year, a minimum of 54% marks are mandatory)
What is store for the selected students:

An opportunity to attend a 2 week summer program organized at the Kolkata, Pune, Mohali, Bhopal and Trivandrum Centres of The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research and IISC Bangalore

They would also be eligible to take admissions in the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, IISER or IIIT Hyderabad.

After the interview, selected students receive fellowships after the 12th for BS, BStat, B. Math, Msc or MS till Pre-PhD level

The monthly fellowship of Rs. 5 thousand and 20 thousand rupees as a grant is given to the selected students

Students may apply for KVPY OMR Sheet revaluation till 31st December 2014 by paying a sum of Rs. 1000.
