From the past two years the 152-year old Lucknow Christian College is being visited for the shooting of various films. With the start of the year 2014, more glory got added to the college’s reputation when the heartthrob actor Aditya Roy Kapoor, the Aashiqui 2 fame who is pairing with the ever gorgeous actress Parineeti Chopra,who gave outstanding performances in the movies like Ishaqzaade and Hassee Toh Phasee visited the Lucknow Christian College for shooting their next upcoming film “Daawat-e-Ishq”, a comedy drama going to hit the theatres soon.

It also stars the eminent actor Anupam Kher & the television star Karan Wahi who is making his debut.

The film is being produced under the prestigious Yash Raj Productions and is being directed by the National Award winning film director Habib Faisal who directed movies Do Dooni Chaar and Ishaqzaade.

The students cheered with exitement when the stars commenced, by shooting the song in the Central Park of the college campus itself. The next segment was shot in various classrooms and the Library.

Clearly the well said chemistry between the couple got everyone’s eye on them. The stars loved taking pictures with the students and signing autographs for them.

Last year it created a stir when the tinsel town stars like Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Grover, Ravi Kishan, Vidyut Jamwal came to the college for the shooting of Bullett Raja, another hit blockbuster.

Also, an alumni of the college was selected among the chief cinematographers for the popular Television series Bigg Boss.

“It is an honour and a privilege at the same time, to see our college to be chosen as a film’s shooting location. We feel blessed.” said a student of the college.

The college which gave alumni like the former President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain and various diplomats and artists will always contribute to the society in every good way possible.
