The prestigious battle for being awarded the best society from colleges across the campus has been gathering quite some attention from the last few years. The top teams compete neck to neck and there is very little that separates the best from the rest. This year was no different.
How it works - Only the top 3 societies in each category get to qualify for the award. The winning society is awarded 3 points. Second and Third positions are awarded 2 and 1 points each respectively to their award tally.
The final points tally are as follows
-
Maitreyi College: 9
-
Kalindi College: 3
-
Amity College, DCAC, VIPS: 2
U S Kiranmai, President of Galore praised the winning team. Speaking about the vibrant colour schemes he threw some light on the theme of the costumes which happened to be “Ban Tiger Trade” and “No Skinning, No Poaching, No Hunting”, the ultimate intention is to make the audience aware of the suffering of this big cat, and glorify its existence. The entire wardrobe and props where made by the team in the college premises.
