The university organised a one-day workshop on ‘Art of Radio Jockeying’ for the students of Journalism where Abhinav Pathak was invited as the chief guest.
The event commenced with the lamp lightening ceremony. The program was hosted by a student of BJMC Abhinav Jauhari. While giving the minute details about the programming of radio RJ Abhinav explained the various opportunities in the audio medium. He believes that he is not only the Radio Jockey but a Radio Journalist, who works for the betterment of Aligarh via his shows, especially Morning Show on 92.7 Big FM.
RJ shared his experience with the students and also discussed the struggles that come in the way while reaching this point. “In this cut-throat competition, talent of voice is not the only required ingredient in Radio, but a package of talents are required, including speaking in public gathering, Spontaneity, confidence and somewhat good looks and, maintenance”, said RJ Abhinav.
Prof. Ravi Prakash, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication addressed the students in the beginning and talked about the history of Radio. He said, “Radio is still the enjoyed medium among people. It is the best mobile medium”
Mr. Hemant Agarwal, Director (Public Relation) winded up the show an delivered vote of thanks. Prof. Jayantilal Jain (Dean, Humanities), Ms. Manisha Upadhaya, Ms. Afroz Yunus Khan, Mr. Mayank Jain, Mr. Alekha Sachidananda Nayak Jai Prakash Rai and the students of the department were present in the event.
