A report titled India Entertainment & Media Outlook 2014, jointly published by PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd (PwC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), says the media and entertainment industry, which generated Rs.1,120 billion in 2013, will be worth Rs.2,272 billion by 2020.
Over all, the media and entertainment industry in India is on the cusp of a strong phase of growth, which will translate into more career options and better packages.
