Madhu Bala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media (MBICEM), affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi, is organizing the sixth edition of India’s first International Students’ Film Festival ‘First Frame 2014’ on 7th and 8th April, 2014 at Arya Auditorium, East of Kailash, New Delhi.

A press conference is also being held on the 25th of March 2014 at 11.30 am, at New Delhi YMCA, 1. Jai Singh Road, New Delhi – 110001, for the promotion of First Frame 2014.

First Frame 2014 has received 113 national film entries from prestigious media institutes like Film and Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII), National Institute of Design, Ahemedabad (NID), Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, Pune (SIMC), Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai (XIC), Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata (SRFTI), University of Hyderabad, YMCA Delhi, Amity School of Communication, AJK Mass Communication and Research Center, Delhi (AJK MCRC), Delhi University, Arena Animation Delhi, MAAC Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)  Delhi and 16 international entries from esteemed institutes like University of Auckland (New Zealand), London Film School (London), Digital Film Academy (Sri Lanka) and 59 en Conserva (Spain) and the F8-National Students’ Photography Competition, an ancillary activity of First Frame 2014, received over 120 entries from college & school student photographers across the country. An On-the-spot Mobile Film Making Competition, revolutionary new concept of TalkShops and Live Circles is also part of the festival.

Esteemed and illustrious personalities from film and media world like Mr. Avtar Sahni, Mr. Vijay Bedi, Ms. Aruna Vasudev, Mr. Hemant Gaba, Mr. Mike C. Berry, Mr. Ranjit Kapoor, Mr. Asheesh Pandya, Ms. Rajni Basu Matary, Mr. Zoobi Amir and many more are expected join the festival this year.

The festival has joined hands with Korean Cultural Centre as the Country Partner, is co-sponsored by ONGC; the Entertainment Partner is Kingdom of Dreams; the Media Partners are Tehelka, Dainik Jagran, City Plus, and U’th time Magazine and the Associate Partners are Grieves Cotton & Punjab National Bank. First Frame 2014 is going to be the first ever film festival to crowdfund on wish berry.in
