NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad announces admission to one-year Master of Philosophy in Law (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) courses for the academic session 2020-17. Aspirants who wish to apply for these programmes can download the application form from the official website of the university. The last date for submission of application form is September 19, 2020. The exam is scheduled to be held on October 15, 2020.

Before applying for the exam, the candidates must go through the eligibility criterion.

MPhil in Law:

• Candidate should have an LLM degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent.
• Candidates who are awaiting the LLM results can also apply.

PhD in Law:

• Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Law from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent, or
• Should have passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or
• They should be a judge of any State High Court in India with minimum three years experience, or
• They should have passed the Company Secretary Exam conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and awarded the Associate membership of the institute, or
• Should be a Judge of Supreme Court of India

The selection of candidates will be based on the interview and the written examination organised by the university. All qualified candidates must submit a research idea on the proposed topic of their research on or before the notified date.

The application form along with a demand draft of INR 2000 for the general category and INR 1000 for the reserved category should be sent in the favour of “Registrar, NALSAR University of Law” payable at Hyderabad.
