Giving tribute to the contribution of Sardadar Vallabh Bhai Patel the entire country came together to celebrate his birthday as National Unity Day on
October 31, 2014. Following the same zeal
National Institute of Technology, Silchar celebrated the day with fervour.
College suspended first half classes (between 8:00AM to 12:00 noon) due to this noble cause.

10:00am: Debate Competition on "CASTE, RELIGION AND RACE is bane to Society" (Gallery G 307)
Participants were provided with T-Shirts of EKTA DAUD and prizes will be given to the winners of debate.
College had also arranged for buses to Also buses to take Faculty and Students to
Silchar Medical College from 5:30am for Ekta Daud (Unity Run).
