National Institute of Technology, Patna has won the endeavor to host the Eastern Zonal Annual Convention 2014 of NASA for the first time. This is a proud moment not only for the college but also for the state. ZONASA will be taking place from September 26- 29, 2014 at NIT Patna.

 

NASA abbreviates for National Association for Students of Architecture. It is a student’s organization spread over SAARC nations of which 200+ Architecture colleges of our country are part of. NASA India is the largest association of Student of Undergraduate Architecture in ASIA. NASA India has divided the country into six zones, out of which Eastern Zone convention is taking place here at NIT Patna. 

 

This annual marvel will begin with the opening ceremony on the 26th evening by welcoming all the colleges followed by cultural performances by the host college. Next three days will witness a routine of architecture competitions, cultural events, fun events, seminars and lectures by some of the renowned Architects from India and abroad. Some of the Expected Guest Architects include Fumihiko Maki, Hafeez Contractor, BV Doshi, to name a few. Although the list has not been finalized yet, Fashion shows, rave night and band night will be one of the highlights of the convention.

 

“Host College NIT Patna is very excited and preparations are going on in full swing. This ZONASA’14 is going to be better than all of its preceding one.” says Govind Kumar, Convener of ZONASA’14. He also expressed that, they have to set a high standard among other colleges. And everyone is going to get a dose of fun & frolic, with special performance by DJ & Rock Band. Convention will witness participation from 32 colleges from the Eastern Zone with around 2500 students participating in it.
