The finance forum of N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research continues the legacy of organizing enlightening seminars.

On 8th August 2015, the forum organized a knowledge enriching session on the hot topic “Commodities Market – A new world order” which was addressed by an industry professional - Mr. Kunal Shah, Head of Commodities Research, Nirmal Bang.

Mr. Shah, who has over seven years of work experience in the Indian Commodities Market and closely tracks the major commodities, not only spoke about the generics of the commodities market but also the recent happenings in the metal and oil sector.

He discussed about the on-going crisis and the Oil bubble and its effect on the world economy due to the interdependence of the countries. Mr. Shah profoundly talked about the Chinese Economy, its role in the financial bubble and how they are creatively destroying the old economy to tackle the current situation.

He explained its effect on the Indian Financial Markets in spite of low commodity prices being a boon for a nation like India. Mr. Kunal Shah, who is sought by the print media and wire services on a regular basis for his views and comments on the commodities markets, shared his opinion with the gathering on different aspects of the financial sector.

The forum received a positive response from the students who participated actively in the discussion held by Mr Shah. The guest speaker made the session interactive by involving students in his discussion and also addressing their queries pleasantly.

The event concluded with a Question & Answer round followed by Prof Dr Anil Gor felicitating the guest. The forum received a positive response from the students, making it yet another value additive seminar.
