The Punjab Pre-Medical Entrance Test (PMET), 2015 was conducted on 17th May, 2015 by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot for admission to MBBS and BDS seats across all medical and dental colleges in Punjab. But students & parents are yet to see the light of the day for the results!
All medical & dental colleges i Punjab are waiting for he verdict of the Punjab and Haryana high court on the fate of this entrance test, leaving medical aspirants in a tizzy.
Reason for court order:
Many students had filed a petition, stating that the question paper had several glaring errors and most of the students were not happy with their result after which the counselling process was called off.
Talking to Campuswalkin on this issue, father of an 18-year-old girl from Ludhiana, who wished not to be named, said that her daughter is a bright student. She has qualified almost all the tests, but the result of PMET was highly disappointing. Meanwhile, Amarjeet Kaur from Patiala said, "Three months have passed. How will the students cope with their first year syllabus as the admission procedures have yet not started?"
Talking about the issue, Rohan Sharma (18), who had appeared for the test, said he did not want the test to be conducted again. The Tarn Taran boy said, "I have cleared both the AIPMT as well as the PMET exams. I wish to pursue MBBS and through AIPMT, I am getting admission in only BDS . So I am waiting for the court's verdict on PMET results."
