On October 17, 2015 a team from NBA will visit Government College of Engineering & Technology, Berhampore for inspection purpose. Once the inspection is done the college will be NBA accredited. After this core companies of mechanical and computer science will visit the college campus and on-campus placements will be conducted. Computer Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students are to organise a meeting on that particularly day where there will be face to face session with the team.

Oracle, Wipro and few other companies had organised placements via Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology.  The college surpassed every expectation and this year the placements have reached a new level. This has been possible all because of the faculty and student partnerships. Maximum of the students are placed by now itself. Salary packages ranged from 3.2 to 4.5 lakh pa.
