Daimler India Bharat Benz selected 4 students from BIT Sindri through their recent recruitment drive. Three students are from Production Department and one is from Mechanical.

About the company:
In 2008, Daimler AG planned to enter the Indian market in a joint venture with Hero MotoCorp to build medium and heavy commercial vehicles.[3] A joint venture named Daimler Hero Commercial Vehicles (DHCV) was formed under Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in July 2008 with 60% holding of Daimler AG and 40% holding of Hero Group.[4] Marc Llistosella was identified as CEO for the company while Amit Chaturvedi as co-CEO.
The launch of the Bharat Benz brand was announced on February 17, 2011 at Chennai by Daimler AG Chairman Dieter Zetsche and the first Bharat Benz truck was unveiled on January 4, 2012 at the Delhi Auto Expo.
The BharatBenz heavy-duty trucks are built on the Mercedes-Benz Axor platform, and the light and medium-duty trucks on the Fuso Canter and Fuso Fighter series
Future plans of the company:
Setting up exclusive showrooms at 110 locations by end of 2014
Plan to manufacture buses under same brand name
In-house financing wing for customers
Production of the Actros trucks will shift to Oragadam, Chennai facility from sister company Mercedes-Benz’s plant in Chakan, Pune
