Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi is the only IIM that offers Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM). The course was established after discussions with bodies like the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) in the year 2012.

In a competitive and rapidly changing business environment, Human Resource Management plays a vital and strategic role. Based on this, PGDHRM at IIM Ranchi seeks to provide an in depth view of HR management concepts and awareness to it's participants in the business context.

The aim of the PGDHRM at IIM Ranchi is to create Human Resource Professionals who have the competencies to; understand the business of the organization and its drivers, understand the connect between business and HR deliverables, lead or contribute in the formulation and implementation of best in class Human resources practices in their organization and so on.

Overall, IIM Ranchi strives to create credible and business oriented HR professionals with organisational competitiveness and employee satisfaction techniques.

Eligibility:

• The aspirant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA), or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
• Candidates fulfilling all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 2015 can also apply subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by June 2015

Selection Criteria:

An initial shortlist will be prepared of aspirants who would be eligible for PI & WAT (Written Ability Test) process for admission to the PGDHRM 2015-17 batch. This shortlist will be entirely based on CAT performance, work experience and bachelor’s degree. 75% weightage is given to the CAT score, 15% weightage is given to bachelor’s level and 10% weightage to Work experience.

Candidates belonging to General, NC-OBC categories are required to pay fee of Rs. 1200 and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD(DA) are required to pay fee of Rs. 600 for availing the programme.
