Shri Dharambeer Singh, District and Session Judge has urged government officials, judiciary officials and academicians to maintain close relationship with common people for sustainable development of the society. He was addressing Legal Awareness Programme ‘Sangam-2015’ and Prospectus launch of Mangalayatan University in the month of May, 2015.

Everyone try to avoid government organizations despite the fact that they have been created for their welfare. This can be avoided with close relationship with the society. Be more sensitive towards the problems faced by common people without and prejudice. We must try to bridge the gap between common person and the government departments through our actions’, he said.

Shri Singh expressed his concern over growing number of professional students indulged in criminal activities. ‘Glamour in the society is attracting youngsters. Most of the professional students turned criminal do anti social activities to get quick money. There is no shortcut for success. You have to do hard work during five years of your college life and you will get benefits in next 50 years of your professional life. Try to buildup strong character during college life’, he added. He stressed upon more awareness about legal process of the country and urged the University to help common people in getting easy and quick justice.

Earlier, Brig. (Dr.) Surjit Pabla, Vice-Chancellor, Mangalayatan University said that the University is helping people through legal aid clinics and wish to speed up its efforts to reach at the doorsteps of aggrieved persons.
Shri Karthik Gopalan, Vice-President (Operations) said that only hard work can pave the way for successful professional life. He urged judicial officer and lawyers to give training to young law graduates for their wholesome education. The University also launched its Prospectus at this occasion.

Pt. Debasis Chakroborty, Devashish Ganguly, Deepali Gaur, Sonam Yadav and Swati Singh presented cultural programmes.
