Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi University, by recognizing the Government of India’s decision to observe October 31 as 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' (National Unity Day), is celebrating the day in the campus today.

As a mark of honour for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's contributions to India's unity, safety and security, his birth anniversary will be celebrating as National Unity Day on October 31, every year.

Following the decision JDMC is conducting numbers of events and activities, showing gratitude towards him. These events and activities would contribute to reinforce the inherent strength of our countr5r in respect of unity, integrity and security.

9:00 am: Vice Chancellor Professor Dinesh Singh arrived at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi
9:05 am: Tribute to national unity Flag off by Vice Chancellor
9:25 am: DU Parade (NCC, NSS, EOC, NCWEB, Students including Foreign Students, Teachers, Staff & Others)
9:35 am: DU ‘Run for Unity’: Sports Council
