Ravenshaw University, Cuttak has 27 departments in total, of which 20 are post-graduate departments. M.Phil. programme is available in 14 departments and all the departments have provision for Ph.D. & D.Litt. programmes. Presently, the University runs 23 Post-Graduate courses with research facilities and 27 Undergraduate Honours courses.

The undergraduate semester exams at Ravenshaw University will begin on April 15, 2015 for all Arts, Science and Commerce courses and will continue till May 12, 2015. The first paper for Arts will be English and the first paper for Science will be Chemistry at the 6^th semester exams UG exams at Ravenshaw University.
