KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi (Karnatak Law Society's Gogte Institute of Technology) conducted a session on Safety Measures to be observed while driving and was conducted by Mr. Amol Tope of SuceedSafe, Mumbai.
The session witnessed participation from more than 300 students and staff members.
Mr. Amol Tope gave an effective talk supported by videos & live demonstration on the precautions to be observed while driving 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers on roads. He highlighted the difference between safe driving and defensive driving and mentioned that for every mishap takes place only due to the lack of mind perception followed by judgment and last by reflexes.
Mr. Amol Tope also mentioned that many top Corporates in and out of India follow very stringent norms with regard to the safety measures while driving, to the extent that in case if any employee is booked for violating the norms, such as no use of helmets, drunken driving etc. the employees are terminated from services.
He also quoted that “Getting back to my family every single day without an injury is my gift and service to them”
He was happy to note that GIT has already initiated measures for Road Safety & created awareness amongst the students. The whole programme was coordinated by the students of LEAD Group of GIT.
