St. Pauls Institute of Communications Education (SPICE) Mumbai is hosting a media festival for hundreds of students from various institutes on 4th Feb, 2020.
This festival, Mediathon is happening at SPICE, Bandra. It will have a series of exciting and valuable activities for students to participate. And here are a few of the activities that undergraduate students in Mumbai must check out:
1. The Vault: Signifying a storage of treasurable ideas, this is a national-level case study competition where students can submit their ideas marketing campaigns, share it online & the winning teams will get iPad Minis, Kindles and scholarships and will qualify for internships! Campaigns are in these categories:
a. Advertising for BBlunt,
b. Public Relations for Housing.Com
c. And Journalism for The Afternoon Dispatch and Courier.
This is also a platform for SPICE to identify the top Advertising, Journalism and Public Relations Talent for Tomorrow.

2. Workshops: Mediathon will also host veterans of the media world to take workshops for students.
a. Rajeev Masand, movie critic and celebrity interviewer. Will be conducting a workshop on how to critic a movie
b. Vinta Nanda - Producer, Director and Writer of several television serials including the trailblazing "Tara", she will talk on using entertainment media for change.
c. Josy Paul, Creative genius of the Advertising world will be speaking on evolving role of Advertising - current and future.
d. Vikas Sabnis, cartoonist extraordinaire will have a session with students about creating cartoons on current topics
e. Plus complimentary workshops on Short Film Making by faculty of St. Pauls Institute
3. Outdoor Activities: Besides these SPICE on that day will be buzzing with several fun activities such as:
a. Treasure hunt - A treasure hunt with clues hidden in QR codes.
b. Photo essay– Think. Click. Share.
c. Jingles – On-the-spot Jingles on Futuristic Products/Ideas.
d. Debate – Online and on–the-day, on current media topics.
e. Galactic Football – With college teams.
f. Computer & mobile gaming
Over 30 students in an around Mumbai have been invited to be a part in the day-long media festival. Particpating colleges include St. Xaviers, Wilson, Don Bosco, National, Sophia’s, Usha Pravin Gandhi (UPG), Mithibai, HR, Jaihind and K.C.
