Students' International Conference on ‘Environmental Problems in South Asia’ at USLLS

A Students’ International Conference on ‘Environmental Problems in South Asia’ is being conducted from 30th January to 2nd February 2015 at University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS).

The objective of the conference is to develop cogent thinking and understanding of environmental issues among the students and younger generations of South Asia for a sustained and harmonic future existence with fellow feeling and empathy.

USLLS, one of the constituent school of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), is inviting participation from the students and research scholars from various universities in South Asian countries with research papers addressing pressing environmental issues related to the creation and protection of safe environment in South Asia.

  • Governance and Environment: Legislation and Judicial action
  • Regulation of Trade, Industry and Environment
  • Environmental Conscientiousness and Political Conflicts
  • Trans boundary cooperation for Environmental Improvement
  • Impact of Poverty on Environment
  • Sustainable Development and Inter-generational equity

 

Submission Details

Interested participants should submit an abstract of not more than 500 words on or before the scheduled date. Paper submission should not be of more than 10,000 words in Times New Roman style with font size 12 for text and 10 for footnotes. Author’s/Co-Author’s name along with the address of the University/Institute has to be clearly mentioned on the first page of the paper. Soft Copies of Abstract and Final Paper should be forwarded to the email address ‘usllsconference@gmail.com’. Papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication.

 

Registration Fee

Students USD 30 / ₹ 2000
Ph.D. Scholars USD 50 / ₹ 3200

Registration can be done by mailing the scanned copies of the registration and demand draft of requisite amount in favour of “The Registrar, GGS Indraprastha University” payable at New Delhi on or before the last date of registration i.e. 31st December 2014.

Participants are required to bring the original copies of demand draft and registration form at the time of joining the conference.

 

Important dates

Last Date for submission of abstract – 2nd October 2014

Confirmation of acceptance of Abstract – 10th October 2014

Last Date for Submission of Paper – 31st December 2014
