Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is conducted annually by Anna University on the behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu for aspirants of MBA, M.Sc, M.Tech, MCA, etc. This entrance exam is undertaken by aspirants who want to pursue post graduation in different management,  science & technology courses in University Colleges of Anna University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges,  Arts & Science Colleges and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu.

The TANCET 2020 application form will be available online or at specified coordinating centers from April 2020. The candidates who will be able to qualify the GATE exam will be exempted from taking the TANCET exam, which will be held in the year 2020.However, candidates who have valid GATE 2020 score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers will have to appear for TANCET 2020 for admission.
