This day is devoted specially to our mentors, our life time teachers. India celebrates Teacher's Day on every 5th of September with great respect towards their Gurus. Without our teacher's actual guidance and approach, we could not have chosen the right path towards success in life. By giving tribute to these life time heroes in our life, the whole country come together to celebrate the day with earnest zeal, especially the colleges, universities and schools, which base is belong to them only.
The day is especially celebrated in the memory of Dr. Radhakrishnan, a great Indian teacher on his birth anniversary on September 5.
Here we have compiled a list of colleges/universities in Delhi/NCR who have celebrated the day with fervour. Here we go:
Institute of Applied Medicines & Research, Ghaziabad
The day at
Institute of Applied Medicines & Research, Ghaziabad began with the students and teachers gathered at the common hall. Formal wishes with gifts to their teachers were exchanged. The student also presented mimicry of their teachers one by one which was a real fun.
At the end of the event, the head of the BBA department Mr. Manish hit the stage and gave a speech on the importance of teachers in our lives and why does this day celebrated with great enthuse.
Jagan Nath University, New Delhi:
Dance performances were presented on retro songs. Students from various departments participated while HM dept. took home the first prize.
Geetika, Mukul, Himanshu, Firdosh, Deepanshu and Vishul from BCA department got the 2nd prize while the 3rd prize goes to BCA 2nd year students Rishab Baisla and Simran.
Techno India Banipur, West Bengal
Techno India-Banipur celebrated Teacher's day celebration on September 6, 2020 following the holiday as per new schedule.
The main event kick started by 1 p.m. which was hosted by 2nd year students in association with the other students. The traditional diya was lighted followed by a cake cutting ceremony and a speech given by Dr. T. Dutta, Principal of Techno India-Banipur.
The performances presented by 1st year students left everyone spellbound. While everyone was mesmerized and enjoyed the classical performances, few students performed on bollywood tracks which also added a spark.
Also, a game for teachers ‘Passing the Parcel’ was conducted by the 4th year students. It was a real fun to see all the teachers coming out from their strict role to a jovial character and enjoying the every moment.
At last to add an extra flavor, a duet freestyle followed by lyrical hip-hop dance performance presented by ex student Mr. Satya Neos and 2nd year's Raja Gupta. 1st year students performed a melodious song who took the breath away for a moment. This way the big day was well celebrated at Techno India, Banipur.
