About TMI-BITS 2012

Tolani Maritime Institute Birla Institute of Technology and Science (TMI-BITS) is an entrance exam for admission to B.S. Marine Engineering and B.S. Nautical Technology courses in Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI), Pune.

TMI-BITS 2012 is an online examination conducted by the Tolani Maritime Institute, Pune for admission to Marine Engineering and Nautical Technology programmes. TMI-BITS exam is accepted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and Tolani Marine Institute, Pune.

Eligibility for TMI-BITS 2012

The eligibility criteria for admission to B.S. Marine Engineering and B.S. Nautical Technology Courses are:

1. You should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in English either in 10^th or 12^th

 2. You must be born on or after September 1990. There is 2 years relaxation for female candidates.

3. Only unmarried candidates are eligible for TMI-BITS.

4. You must meet the physical fitness standards as set by the institution.

5. You must be examined by reputed doctor before TMI-BITS exam.

6. If you are applying for B. S Nautical Technology, you must have 6/6 vision for both eyes.

Application Procedure for TMI-BITS 2012

1. You can get apply for TMI-BITS 2012 either Online or Offline.

2. You can fill TMI-BITS 2012 application form online on official website of Tolani Maritime Institute, Pune (http://www.tolani.edu/tmi/index,1.html)

3. Take a print out of the TMI-BITS 2012 application form and send it along a demand draft or pay order of Rs. 850/- in favour of “Tolani Maritime Institute” payable at Pune.

4. You can purchase Brochure and Prospectus for TMI-BITS 2012 by paying cash, pay order or demand draft of Rs. 300 in favour of “Tolani Maritime Institute” payable at Pune.

5. You can send completely filled TMI-BITS 2012 application form along with a pay order or demand draft of Rs. 850/- in favour of “Tolani Maritime Institute” payable at Pune.

6. You can also get TMI-BITS 2012 application form from selected branches of Axis Bank by paying Rs. 300/-.

7. You can also pay application fee of Rs. 850/- in cash at selected branches of Axis Bank and send the TMI-BITS 2012 application form along with the counterfoil from Axis Bank to Tolani Maritime Institute, Pune.  

Documents to be attached with TMI-BITS 2012 Application Form

1. Certificates and mark sheets of 10^th or 12^th examination attested by Gazetted Officer. Class 12^th students who haven’t received their mark sheets can submit a bona fide certificate from head school.

2. Copy of your school leaving certificate or other certificates from school certifying your date of birth.

3. Copy of sports and other extracurricular activities certificates.
