Des) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ) need to appear for the UCEED examination.
UCEED 2017 was conducted in online mode by IIT Bombay in January 2017. It was a computer based test of 3 hours duration. The analysis of the exam explains the exam in a total. The candidates can check the UCEED 2017 exam analysis here.
As per aspirants, the question paper seemed to be easy and almost similar to that of 2016 paper. When students started attempting the paper, they found it difficult to complete in the given time. There are 3 sections in UCEED. For the first two sections (section A & B) there is no negative marking scheme whereas the third section (section C) has negative marking for each wrong answer.
students found Section A, NAT (Numerical Aptitude Test) time-consuming and a bit lengthier while the remaining sections were as usual. Some of the questions in the MSQ (Multiple Selection Questions) section were tricky while comparing to that of other sections.
Several unexpected questions from Probability (Mathematics) appeared this time for the exam. A total of 85 questions were asked from the English section and most of the questions were tricky. The priority was given to Design and Aptitude questions. Questions from Verbal, Spatial and Mechanical Ability topics especially involving images appeared as expected in a very good number.
Overall, the question paper covered broad topics which gave the platform for everyone to secure good marks. Some aspirants said they did well in NAT, while others performed well in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) and MSQ sections. So, there are chances that the average marking and maximum marks would remain just like in the previous year.
