All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health is a one in a unique institute which was found in 1932 as the first school of Public Health in South-East Asia region. All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health (AIIPH) is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and accredited by WHO and UNICEF. Objective of the institute is to develop health manpower by providing post-graduate (training) facilities of the highest order. And to undertake operational research to develop methods for optimum utilization of health resources and application of the findings for protection and promotion of health care services.

College Facility

Classroom

  • All the classrooms of the institute are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • There are several laboratories including five big laboratories inside the premises of the Institute for the different Departments. All these laboratories were built more than 50 to 60 years back.

Library

  • The Institute library is one of the few reference libraries on health sciences. It has a collection of books. No. of journals subscribing (Indian and WHO-Global) is 77, no. of thesis is 250, no. of reports is 25000, no. of bounds vol. journals is 24,000 and no. of electronic journals subscribing is 400 (approx., through NML, New Delhi).

Hostel

  • The institute provide separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
