  • All department has good laboratory facilities and it has been recognized by Gauhati University as a research laboratory for PhD work. Regular laboratory classes are held in the following laboratories. Chemistry Laboratory, Energy Laboratory, Chemical Technology Laboratory, Fluid Flow Operations Laboratory, Heat Transfer Operations Laboratory, Mechanical Operations Laboratory, Mass Transfer Operations Laboratory, Pollution Control Laboratory, computer and Simulation Laboratory.

  • The institute have a central library.

Hostel

  • Assam Engineering College is a fully residential college and all the students are to stay in the campus. However, with due permission of the Principal, a student may stay outside the campus. The college has one of the most beautiful and scenic campuses that one can possibly hope to find in an Engineering College. The college has seven boys' hostel, one girls' hostel and one hostel for the post-graduate students.

ExtraCurricular

  • The college has its own Internet Center and provides browsing facilities to all students and faculties. The students have to pay a nominal amount as fees for the facility, which is included with the admission fees. The Center remains open till 7:30 PM in the evening on all working days. The college is connected to ISP through wireless with a capacity of 1mbps.
