Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot was founded in 1998 under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab. The objective of the university is to build an intellectual, academic and physical environment. University is committed to provide Community oriented need based education & Training programmes for Health professionals. University  is working towards creation and provision of socially relevant and highly qualified professionals in a wide range of interdisciplinary areas of nursing sciences by providing education to a large number of nursing students from all sections of society in the country. There are a number of colleges, institutions and research centers under the affiliation of this university nurturing professional courses on health sciences.
