The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow is the premier central university of the country. The University was founded in 10th of Jan 1996. The University is 10 Km. far away from the main Railway Station of Lucknow. The aim of the University is to enhance the research works. The university is named after Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. A student can approach the University for P.G. courses in Law, Human rights, Environmental studies, M.B.A. in rural management, journalism etc. University is evident from its basic philosophy, policies and programmes, which are spelt out and enshrined in the University Act and Statutes. The University has good infrastructure like Post Office, Bank, Electricity Substations, Students' Hostels (Both Boys & girls), Guest House, Health Care Unit, Staff Quarters, Computer Centre, University Science Instrumentation Centre, Coaching Centre for SC/ST & Minorities.
