Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management, Kolhapur is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth University,Pune. The Institute was established in the year 1994 under the mentorship of Dr. Patangrao Kadam. The institute is a reputed institution of management science in the region & recognised by Govt. of Maharashtra and approved by AICTE,New Delhi. Up till 2005 Institute was affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur and recently brought under the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth University,Pune as a constituent unit from the academic year 2005-06.

Classroom

  • The Institute has Five spacious state of arts classrooms of 66 sq. mtrs. each, Three Tutorial rooms of 36 sq. mtrs. The specification criterion of classrooms Tutorial rooms, Seminar Halls, etc. have been meticulously observed to create effective learning environment suiting to higher education in management and Information science. The latest teaching learning aids and equipments have been procured and used for imparting knowledge and ideas in the classroom environment.

Laboratory

  • BVIMK computer centre is equipped with the latest hardware & software. There is a separate Laboratory for MCA where all the classes are conducted online. The institute procures the latest software required on a periodic basis and ensures that the updated knowledge is imparted to the students.

Library

  • A well stacked library is available in the institute which is full of reference books, journals and magazines and daily news papers. The Library consists of spacious Reading Room which is open 8 hrs a day, and Information Center. There are over 2700 books on Computer Science - theory & applications and management Subjects. The library subscribes to about 25 national and international journals and periodicals on information technology and some others on management subjects.

ExtraCurricular

  • Personality & Entrepreneurship Development Club (PEDC) wherein eminent industrialists are invited to interact with the students and workshops are held for overall development of personality.

Placement

Placement activities are carried on by the students under the guidance of placement co-ordinator. Students working for placements get help from over 1000 alumni working in several different organizations around the world. The Institute takes all round effort in providing placement opportunity to students.
