The Department of History is heir to the tradition established by the founder, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, who edited important historical texts like Abu’l Fazl’s Ain-i Akbari, Ziya Barani’s Tarikh-i Firoz Shahi and Jahangir’s memoirs. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses with spcialization in Arts in History.
