Recognizing the importance of distance learning and constraints of time and place, the Centre for Distance Learning was established. The college offers distance learning undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of arts, science and commerce in various streams. Apart from distance education, the institute also focuses on placement opportunities and training for personality development. The study material includes videos, CDs, debates, group discussions, journals, etc., in the form of video lessons. Learners can also make use of the Knowledge Research Centre i.e Library at the Vishakhapatnam Campus. Admissions are based on marks obtained in GITAM Admission Test (GAT) exam.

The programmes are offered to fulfill a learner’s needs and demands. Some of them being certification, improvement of skills, acquisition of professional qualifications, self enrichment, diversification of knowledge and continuing education and professional development at work place.
