College of Engineering, Thalassery was founded in the year 2000 and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) and approved by AICTE.

The college offers various courses including six streams of Engineering (undergraduate) and two Post graduate degrees. The admission to the college is purely based on the common entrance test that the college conducts for the candidates from all over the country. The college aims at excellent teaching and career guiding professors that help students reach out to their preferred careers easily.
