The name of the college is Dakshin Kamrup College. The college is so named because it is the creation of the untiring and relentless efforts of the people of Dakshin Kamrup. Dakshin Kamrup College aims at achieving human excellence in higher education. It wants to become the center of excellence in North East India. Apart from imparting education it wants the young generation to remake a society to be based on dignity of labour, morality and spiritual virtues of individuals.

  • The NSS Unit of D.K.College, Mirza has been started functioning from the year 1971. In these years college unit has successfully completed various programmes and projects to cater the need of the society. Under the able and dynamic leadership of programmed officers namely Dr. Amrit Chandra Sarma (ex-Principal) and Sri Dharmeswar Borah (present principal), College unit has been regularly organizing regular activities and special activities in and outside college campus.
