Department of Ancient Indian History and Epigraphy, Karnatak University of Dharwad is approved by NAAC. The mission of the department is to keep the message of Indian experience and achievement alive and active for the benefit of the modern society through: learning and researching historical, literary, epigraphic, archaeological, art and architectural heritage, documenting heritage in its various dimensions and creating a visual and descriptive knowledge base, and promoting heritage awareness by consultative and participative modes.
