Department of Bio Informatics, SRM University is a part of SRM University and approved by NAAC. The course is designed to produce bioinformatics engineers to reach the frontier in bioinformatics, which would help as a platform in seeking employment or in pursuing higher studies. The curriculum provides knowledge in basics on the three important integral sub disciplines - biology, computer science and information technology and skills in applying vast amount of biological information in genomics, proteomics, drug designing, molecular medicine, forensic analysis, crop improvement and veterinary science.

Hostel

  • There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the necessary facilities. Among the hostels on this campus, 9 are dedicated for men and 6 for women. All the hostels are well-equipped, with adequate ventilation and lighting facility. Each room is fitted with tube lights and fans, and each student is provided with a cot, chair and a table. Periodicals and newspapers are supplied to each hostel.
