Department of Botany, H.N.B. Garhwal University is known for outstanding research activities particularly in the field of Himalayan vegetational wealth including Ecology and Conservation, Taxonomy, Palynology, Mycology and other thrust areas of plant sciences from Lesser to Higher Himalaya. At present the department is well equipped to impart undergraduate teaching in Botany and post-graduate teaching both in Botany and Microbiology.
