Department of Botany is a part of University of Pune. The Department of Botany is one of the leading Departments of India in the field of teaching and research in plant sciences. Now department is concentrating its research programs in the area of biodiversity assessment conservation, and bioprospecting of the plant health located in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. The department has also established collaboration with leading research institutes of India and abroad.
